Military Build encourages Canadian veterans, active duty military members, and reserve members to offer their services in a new way while helping Habitat GO partner with local low-income families who are building strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Teams of 10 people will be invited to participate in a fun and rewarding “build day,” helping with the construction of four townhouses in the east-end of Ottawa, which is Phase 1 of Habitat GO’s largest development to date.

Volunteering with Habitat GO’s Military Build, which is sponsored by Lockheed Martin, will give members of the Canadian military the opportunity to work together with their families and friends, other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners, providing a sense of unity. It will also allow them an additional opportunity to support and strengthen their community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our first-ever Veteran Build Day on Friday, November 10. Please click here to view photos from the day and read articles in Canadian Military Family Magazine and Ottawa Community News.
