2017 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project - Canada 150

Our affiliate is excited to be celebrating Canada’s 150th anniversary by joining a Canada-wide Habitat for Humanity movement. Along with nearly 50 other affiliates across the country, we will embark on the largest and most ambitious initiative in Habitat for Humanity’s history in Canada. Together, we will build 150 homes, alongside 150 Habitat families to provide affordable homeownership opportunities across Canada.

Thousands of volunteers, sponsors and community partners will help make this possible. As part of this celebration, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter will join us here in Canada for the 34th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project.

President Carter and Mrs. Carter will be focusing their efforts in Edmonton, Alberta and Winnipeg, Manitoba, but the Carter Work Project will be a country-wide effort, with almost 50 communities in every province and territory in Canada, including Habitat GO's four builds in Ottawa this year, helping reach the goal of building 150+ homes. For more information about how you can get involved with the Carter Work Project in Ottawa, please contact Alexis Ashworth at This email address is being protected from spambots.
