What We Don't Take
Although the Habitat ReStore appreciates all of the offers of donations it receives, there are some items that it cannot accept.
- Housewares and dishes
- Used window coverings
- Large or small appliances
- Dirty, broken or worn out furniture
- Electronics
- Toys
- Clothing
- Exercise and sports equipment
- Books
- Materials with nails or screws not removed
- Damaged, moldy, rotten or dirty materials
- Carpet
- Paint from the general public
- Unframed mirrors
In Ottawa at this time there are NO charities that accept large applicance, hazardous waste, or paint from the public. However, here is a list of local charities who you may wish to contact for other donations such as dishes and toys:
